Well, 2020 is one for the record books. We all had to pivot and adapt to new and strange circumstances to combat the COVID-19 virus. For BERM, there was no difference. We were able to perform several tasks this year, including COVID PPE training for a number of professionals in the food safety and grounds industries. Mark Bruce was a guest speaker for the Elizabethtown Chamber of Commerce presenting a discussion on COVID PPE and mitigation techniques, as well as offering consulting services to many members of the Elizabethtown Rotary Club.
Mark used the time this year to also obtain a new professional credential…Certified Safety and Health Manager (CSHM) which is a private certification offered by the Institute of Hazardous Materials Managers (IHMM). He also was elected as Chair for the Alliance of Hazardous Materials Professionals (AHMP) Board of Directors. While BERM business in 2020 was significantly slowed, Mark remained remarkedly busy with volunteer work with AHMP, IHMM and the E-town Rotary Club. The latter also included presentations on the positives and negatives of medical marijuana in the work place.
BERM has begun its fourth year in business and the future looks bright. New opportunities are constantly presenting themselves and we stand ready to meet them head on with impeccable customer service
